The Great Gallop

"Great work!"

submission: The Great Gallop
date: December 22, 2007

I enjoyed this! The marimba all the way through just made me smile...and the last little tap at the end!

Just correct me if I'm wrong, theres a flute/piccolo, trumpet, trombone, eupho (possibly, could be just low trombone), and of course, the marimba.

What program(s) did you use for this?

Another thing is the speed at which everything was played, and how everything fits together nicely!

Again, great work, and keep it up!

Author's Response:

Flute, French horn, 2 trumpets, trombone, tuba and marimba.

Good guess, though. And thanks for the great review! I actually edited the sound file in December to improve the sound quality a bit - it hadn't sounded so good before, which may be why it didn't get much attention.

I just used Finale 2007 for this, with the Garittan Personal Orchestra (which comes bundled with it). To be honest, I just write the notes and Finale/GPO plays them. I've learned how to adjust a few settings here and there, but I still don't really know how it all works.
